@Muse I listened to the full Future Road album today. The sound of her voice triggers tears that I can't control. I've only known about a few of her songs. I also watched a few videos interviews that she did concerning events in her life. She was such an amazing person.

Many people feel this song by The Seekers, in part sung by Judith Durham, should be the national anthem.

@Muse... sigh..mopping up tears again, and I'm not even an Australian. Yes. Very wonderful and touching. It should be the Australian national anthem. ❤️

many gens of little Australians have been taught this song, which is quite a confusion for those on the Mornington Peninsula but "somewhere there is sunshine" rings true for tiny Melbournians

@clarice overhere*Oh! There you are Dearie. I love your rose avatar. I didn't know if you would care for the tame music of Judith Durham and The Seekers, but I thought you would appreciate her voice, and she was a wonderful human being, and she survived so much in her life.

Heya darl :D and thankyou <3
i appreciated herself more than her music, tis true, but that was more due to over-saturation as a child than any actual taste (or not) in music. She was a great lady who certainly used her powers for good.

It's the opposite where I live in Utah. It's mostly a desert with hardly any rain or weather to speak of,, Climate Change has really been bad, as well as air pollution. So I listen to rain videos and watch other weather videos. They help to keep me in touch with Nature. I envy all of your rain.
I will love watching the Michael Palin video - it's just my kind of humor. It's 4:39 AM and I have to get a few hours of sleep. I'll be watching it and all the rest of the episodes. I've never seen or heard of them before. Thank you so much. :-))))

@MuseI didn't get a chance today, Thursday, to watch an episode of Ripping Yarns. I'm looking forward to it. I did see Michael Palin, and I've always been fond of him. (It's midnight here - gasp!)
A number of years ago I used to watch British comedy programs. So I know of Palin from a few Monty Python shows, but it was mostly other things he did, such as his travel documentaries.
Looking at a list - of some British shows I watched that I thought were really funny and cleaver.
Benny Hill, Mr. Bean, Fawlty Towers, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served, The Manor Born.
This is one favorite Monty Python. "But I don't want it."
Guards! Make sure the Prince doesn't leave this room

@Girl Of The Sea In one of Michael Palin's travel documentaries he met a female Japanese standup comedian: Mayumi Nobetsu. He then did a second documentary series and wanted to get back in touch with her. What he didn't know, but I did, was that she had moved to Melbourne, Australia. Not long after he was in Melbourne at the Writers Centre. I called her and told her to hustle down to the Writers Centre. She did and Michael Palin was overjoyed to see her again!

So that's about as close as I've ever gotten to a Pythoner!

Excuse me! She was actually a member of his Japanese fan club, then became a standup comedian herself.
